Lakeland Mental Health Center

Lakeland Mental Health Center understood the value of the natural environment, and utilized it to create an amenity for its clients and staff alike; offices run the perimeter of the building, providing views and interiors spaces are flooded with daylight through borrowed lights and skylights. Programmatic and efficiency priorities of the project included a warm, inviting client experience, increased security, energy efficiency, and sustainable design. S+A subsequently designed a second facility in Alexandria with many of the same unique attributes.
