In conjunction with Kilbourne Group, S+A revitalized this 1946 building with core and shell improvements as well as by adding a complete third story. The first floor fit-up for Prairie Roots Food Co-Op focused on creating a warm, inviting space for the community to come together to buy, sell, share, and celebrate food. Exposed concrete structure pays homage to the building’s history as a service garage, while salvaged barnwood fixtures and signs, and pressed wheat glazing speak towards the sustainability goals of the client.
