Lakeland Mental Health Center

The new headquarters for Lakeland Mental Health Center will sit on a beautiful, sloping, wooded site in southwest Fergus Falls. The building will house clinical offices and support space for Lakeland’s confidential mental health services. It also provides central administration for five locations at Fergus Falls, Detroit Lakes, Moorhead, Alexandria, and Glenwood.

Priorities of the project include a warm, inviting client experience, providing space needs with efficiency and flexibility, daylighting to a variety of spaces, security, energy efficiency, and sustainable design. The design includes three group rooms, an open office area that overlooks a natural wetland, a well-insulated building envelope, and a ground-source heat pump HVAC system.
